How do I pass your screening process?
Before I’ll meet with you privately, you must pass my safety screening or opt to use an alternative safety check process. (Why?)
You can successfully screen with me by fulfilling at least one (1) of these requirements. There’s no need to complete all of them. Three of your options are remote and one is in person:
- Screening method 1: attaching a selfie of yourself holding a valid government-issued photo ID card/document showing at least your full name, birthyear, and photo (the rest may be redacted), plus a carrier phone number (not a texting app or burner/VoIP number) to the message you send when you contact me, or
- Screening method 2: attaching a selfie plus a LinkedIn profile link plus a carrier phone number (not a texting app or burner/VoIP number) to the message you send when you contact me, or
- Screening alternative 1: scheduling a paid video vibe check, where we will video chat using Signal Private Messenger so you can provide the minimal information from your legal ID document for me to verify over live video, in real-time. I'll join the video chat after I receive your payment for the video call.
- Screening alternative 2: scheduling and sending a deposit for a meet-and-greet/social-only date (at my social rate) where we will physically meet in a public venue.
The above listing describes different minimum requirements to pass my screening process.
At my sole discretion, I may require additional validation of the information you provide in order to feel comfortable seeing you. The more information you give me before I have to ask for it, the more likely we are to be fantastically compatible. Conversely, if you are not ready to be screened, please wait until you are before contacting me.
Keep these points in mind when screening:
- Both remote screening options require a selfie and a carrier (non-burner) phone number; it’s not either/or, it’s both/and.
- Your selfie must be current, must match your LinkedIn profile pic or ID document photo, and must not be the same pic as your profile or ID document photo itself.
- When sending an ID document, you may redact all information printed on it except your full name, photo, and date of birth (or birth year if that is enough to prove you are not a minor).
- Ensure the text on your ID is readable. Sending images via SMS/txt often degrades them; I recommend messaging via Signal Private Messenger.
- To make a stellar first impression, consider providing any verification information you feel comfortable offering, whether or not it is listed above.
Finally, please remember that I consider messages lacking screening information to be incomplete and I may simply not reply to them.
